  • Favorite item of clothing in my closet: Probably my new olive green and grey trench coat from Francesca’s. I love the cold, rainy weather so I can’t wait to finally be able to wear it.

  • The nickname my friends have for me is: Actually, “Nina” is my nickname. My real name is hard to pronounce for many people so I’ve introduced myself as “Nina” since the ninth grade. I also get called “Neenz” from time to time too.

  • Favorite pair of shoes are: Definitely my black, knee high Abound boots. They go with pretty much any outfit.

  • When I wake up in the morning, I always do these three things: Drink a cup of coffee from my favorite Audrey Hepburn mug while I watch reality television and cuddle up with my cat.

  • If I could pick two people to have dinner with, dead or alive, they would be: One person would be my cousin Kamron who passed away when I was ten. The other person would have to be Edie Sedgwick. She was dubbed an “It Girl” in the 1960s.

  • My favorite thing to do on a Friday night is: I’m a bit of a homebody, so I never get tired of staying in with my loved ones for a Netflix kind of night.

  • The best compliment I’ve ever received was: That I’m a kind and thoughtful person. I enjoy being there for people any chance I get so it was really cool to get that compliment.

  • I’m addicted to: Caffeine! It doesn’t matter how rested I am, I can’t function without a little dose of caffeine.

  • My most embarrassing moment is: I sometimes have a bad habit of speaking before I think. There have been times when I’ve said a thing or two in front of others and then immediately think to myself, “Why did I just say that?” Other than that, I don’t really let myself get embarrassed too often. Everyone has their moments.

  • The most important lesson in life I’ve learned is: Never get distracted from your goals. Certain obstacles will happen in your life that might make you want to quit or diverge from your goals but it’s best if you learn how to adapt and move past them.

  • My favorite thing about my job is: Helping students achieve their academic goals and reassuring any doubt they might have about themselves when it comes to school. It’s always nice getting that little extra push and motivation, especially since school can get so stressful sometimes.

  • The best gift I’ve ever received was: An Aaron Carter CD and poster. My cousin gave me these two presents for my tenth birthday because he was aware of my crazy obsession with Aaron Carter. We weren’t too close at the time, but I remember wanting to sit by my cousin all throughout dinner after getting those presents.

  • My favorite store is: Zara without a doubt. It never disappoints me.
