  • Favorite item in my closet: My shoes, I love shoes.

  • The nickname my friends have for me is: Paigey, Paiger

  • Favorite pair of shoes are: My black booties from Nordstrom.  I wear them with everything!

  • When I wake up in the morning, I always do these three things: Drink coffee, check my email, and eat.

  • If I could pick two people to have dinner with, dead or alive, they would be: Lucrettia Mott who is my great-great-great-grandmother who was one of the leading ladies in the women’s rights movement.  I am so proud to come from such a strong lineage of powerful women!  Lastly, Dr. Elizabeth Blackburn who is one of the leading cancer researchers at UCSF.  She received a Nobel Prize in 2009.  I look up to her work and hope to follow in her footsteps one day.

  • My favorite thing to do on a Friday night is: I enjoy wandering San Francisco. I live in the best city where there are new places to explore around every corner!

  • The best compliment I’ve ever received was: I was told that I am a strong independent woman.

  • I’m addicted to: Coffee…candy….food…

  • My most embarrassing moment is: A long time ago when I played soccer, I was late to a game and had to change in the car.  I accidentally put my uniform on backwards, and I played the whole first half looking like a weirdo until I could change.

  • The most important lesson in life I’ve learned is: I learned in life that it is important to not let anything hold me back from achieving my goals.  It is important to put yourself first and find happiness within.

  • My favorite thing about my job is: I love working at UCSF and helping others.  The children my research team works with make my job very rewarding.

  • The best gift I’ve ever received was: Last Christmas I received two books, Curing Cancer and Decoding the Human Body, which are by far my favorite gifts ever.

  • My favorite store is: Nordstrom. You can’t go wrong there!
